Smoked salmon pâte

Low fat and a great snack, perfect for slimming world as it's syn free!

Smoked salmon is, in my humble opinion, one of the greatest things out there. It pleases me a great deal that this treat is syn free on slimming world and as such, I can eat a ton of it (and I do). One of my favourite ways to use it is in a simple smoked salmon pâte. It makes for a great starter, dip or snack and it's also low fat, healthy, full of protein and of course, syn free. It's alway a hit with my friends and family as it simply does not taste like diet food. 

Stats:

Makes enough for 2 greedy, hungry people (like myself), or maybe 4-6 as a dip. 

Ingredients:

150g smoked salmon trimmings (or the real deal, if you're feeling a tad flash, it does taste best with the nice cuts, but sometimes I resent the hefty price tag!) 

200g plain quark 

Quarter of a lemon, juiced

1 heaped tsp fresh chives chopped finely (dried will suffice if no fresh chives to hand, if using dried use half a tsp) 

Method:

Simply chuck it all in a blender together. I use a hand blender usually, you may need to add a little extra quark if it's a bit stodgy. Top and serve in little rammekins and with a bit of extra chopped chive on the top of each, if you're feeling fancy or entertaining guests.
